United StatesWilmington, USAPosting date: 14 Aug 2025Reference: 66665Chemical Library Inventory Specialist - Contract - Wilmington, DEProclinical is working with a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel medicines to meet serious unmet medical needs in oncology and inflammation and autoimmunity.We are seeking a motivated and scientifically curious chemical library specialist to join our client's Discovery Chemistry department and contribute to the development of internal high-throughput screening chemical library. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply chemistry knowledge towards the discovery of new therapeutic entity.Primary Responsibilities:The successful candidate will play an integral role in a variety of departmental initiatives as well as laboratory-based duties.Skills & Requirements:
- BS (or equivalent laboratory experience) in Chemistry/Life Sciences or related field, compound management/sample logistics experience desirable. (0-5 years)
- Comfortable with working in proper protection equipment (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat)
- The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and work productivity in teams as well as independently.
- Flexibility to adjust priorities as needed to meet project goals.
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking skills
- Assist scientists in the development of internal HTS chemical library.
- Order and maintain inventory of chemical reagents.
- Prepare building blocks and chemical stock solutions for HTE experiments
- Handle sample logistics for chemical library
- Follow strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Record and document results accurately
- Participate in team meetings and communicate data as well as progress to colleagues
