Senior Project Manager - Commercial ConstructionOur client is a leading commercial construction firm specializing in innovative and high-quality building projects. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful completion of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Lead the planning and implementation of commercial construction projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Manage project budget, schedule, and resources.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide clear direction and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
  • Quality and Safety Management:
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures.
  • Oversee the safety program and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Monitor project financial performance, including cost control and cash flow management.
  • Approve project expenditures and manage contracts and change orders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
