We believe when YOU succeed, we all succeed, so we strive to be the first call for talented team members who want a career, not just a job.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician III to join the fast-growing R&W Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.JOB RESPONSIBILITES
  • Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems and food service equipment, for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs
  • Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units or replace parts for existing units according to specifications
  • Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls
  • Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled job
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
  • Provide elite customer service to every customer
  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance
  • Perform specific preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment
  • Use experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s)
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors and owners
  • Advise owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken
  • Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customer
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Submit required paperwork to Service Coordinator/Dispatcher in a timely manner
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
  • Active EPA certificate
  • VRF experience a plus
  • 10+ years' experience in a commercial HVAC setting
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
