The Clinical Nurse on G17 Stem Cell Transplantation & Cellular Therapy unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center manages patient outcomes by providing, coordinating and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care across the continuum of care. They impact quality of patient care, patient outcomes and use of resources in a designated area in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, an RN license and at least twelve months of recent RN experience in medical/surgical or an acute care setting.Shifts will be 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with rotating weekends and holidays required.MD Anderson offers our nurses:- Three 12 hour shifts per week, 1872 hours per year (minimum)- $8,320 annual inpatient differential, paid $346.67 per paycheck- Paid employee medical benefits (zero premium) starting on first day- Minimum 24.5 days paid leave in first year (PTO & holidays)- Tuition Assistance Program- Teacher’s Retirement System defined-benefit pension plan- Employer paid short-term disability, life & accidental death insurance- Certification pay and State of Texas longevity pay- No State income tax- Relocation assistanceThe Inpatient Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit is a 48 bed unit and is one of our designated immunotherapy floors, administering research protocols involving immunotherapy and CARTOX therapy to patients, including Phase 1 clinical trials.
