- Perform the collection, evaluation, and documentation of recordings of new or previously unexploited data.
- Support a range of analytical products and functions to allow for development of signal exploitation capabilities.
- Translate analytical results into briefings to communicate characteristics of signal for identification and/or exploitation.
- Provide guidance to developers and operators of signal characteristics at the waveform or bit level necessary for the exploitation of signals of interest.
- Oversee the development, deployment or collection, documentation and evaluation of recordings of new or previously unexploited data
- Background knowledge and experience in SIGINT sub-disciplines: COMINT (Communication Externals/COMEXT), ELINT, and Network/Protocol analysis.
- Familiar with modern RF and communication technologies
- Familiar with discovery mission and techniques
- Familiar with collection and tasking flow
- Proficient in software tools: SEDB, Thresher, or Wireshark
- Experience in working in collaborative environment with various external partners
- Background in tradecraft and analytic development
- Ability to detect, acquire, locate and identify foreign electronic intelligence.
- Experience with monitoring signals intelligence (SIGINT) equipment.
- Knowledge of agency specific tools and methodologies.
- Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience and have completed relevant military training (9141-Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst, 1N2A – Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst, 451/461- Intermediate Signals Analyst or 452- Advanced Signals Analysis) or have participated in or graduated from relevant training program (Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP)).
- Degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related technical field. A broader range of degrees will be considered for those who have completed a relevant training program listed above (e.g. 9141, 1N2A, 451/461, 452 or MCSAP/MESAP/MOSAP).
