What you will do:We are looking for a MEMBER & FAMILY EXPERIENCE PROGRAM MANAGER who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of Colorado Access’ Member Advisory Councils (MACs), including recruitment, onboarding, meeting planning, participation accommodations, and honorarium distribution.
  • Partner with internal teams to co-develop meaningful MAC agendas aligned with organizational goals and member priorities.
  • Provide end-to-end support for members and caregivers serving on all other organizational committees and workgroups (e.g., Performance Improvement Advisory Committees and the Regional Health Equity Committee), including recruitment, onboarding, and coaching to facilitate their full, empowered participation.
  • Facilitate member focus groups and incorporate findings into organizational planning and improvement activities.
  • Coordinate the collection and ethical use of member stories and imagery for internal and external use, including training, communications, and marketing efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a secure database for individuals who opt to participate in committees, focus groups, surveys, user testing, advocacy initiatives, etc.
  • Design and implement a member and family leadership program, either internally developed or in collaboration with external partners.
  • Project manages the COA Caring Heart Award’s annual selection and awards process.
  • Train internal staff in the best practices for collecting member feedback and facilitation of participatory processes.
  • Track and respond to requests for feedback from members via a centralized process.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure policies and procedures related to member accommodation and participation stipends/honorariums are compliant and follow industry best practices.
What you will bring:Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, communications, community engagement, or a related field is required. A combination of education and experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree with a preferred 8 years’ experience in program management and community engagement.Experience: Five years of experience in community engagement, program management, or member experience, preferably in a health care or nonprofit setting. Experience working directly with diverse populations, including individuals with lived experience in the health care system.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Deep understanding of member engagement principles and participatory decision-making. Knowledge of health care systems and community-based populations, including Medicaid and Medicare. Familiarity with health equity and culturally responsive engagement strategies. Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to manage diverse group dynamics and foster inclusive environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with vulnerable populations. Project management and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail. Ability to navigate sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision, and values. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to guide and teach others. Colorado Access has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Colorado Access may pay for the position at the time of posting. Colorado Access may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. Where you will work:This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’We are not able to support out of state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.
