This entry-level kitchen role is an opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your skills working with children.This position is AM only (no nights or weekends!) and is a contract to hire opportunity. Excellent benefits offered through the school district once brought on permanently! Pay is $17/hr for the upcoming (2025-2026) school year.Qualifications:
Previous food service experience preferred
Must obtain, purchase, and pass background check through NYSED.
Willingness to float to different Greece Central Schools as needed
Able to perform physical job duties that include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to effectively and professionally interact with students, faculty, and staff
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist with cafeteria coverage within the Greece Central School District
Food preparation such as making sandwiches, cold plates, etc.
Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and equipment
Operate kitchen appliances
Serve students
Set up condiments and supplies
Utilize knife skills
Operate POS if needed
Various kitchen duties as needed
