Responsible for bidding, award, administration and close-out of contracts for construction, maintenance, professional technical services, consultants and other related services. Negotiate contracts/modifications to contract documents and resolve claims/disputes efficiently with assistance from other contract agents, while promoting strong contracting principles. Work independently with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service and strong communication skills. Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including engineering, supply chain, and project management to ensure timely contract execution. Responsible for processing construction work authorizations and amendments throughout the contract lifecycle.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree in English or Language Arts, Business degree in Supply Chain or other related areas.Experience: Three (3) years of contract agent or similar procurement administrative experience (Experience with utility-related construction and maintenance preferred). Experience should include qualifying contractors and bidding contracts. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills. Experience in relational contract management databases.Equivalent Experience: Associate degree and five (5) years of contract agent or other procurement administrative experience (utility industry preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills. Experience in relational contract management databases.Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Certified Purchasing Manager Certification (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Lawson/Landmark, WebIntelligence, SharePoint all preferred.
