To establish and provide excellent guest service, registering and greeting guests at point of check-in and throughout their stay, while processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts in accordance with Xanterra – Cedar Creek Lodge policies and procedures.The Details:
Position Type: Full-time, Year-round
Start Date: October 2025
Pay: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 32 - 40 hours/week (includes weekends, evenings, and holidays). 11pm - 7am; 4 shifts/week. May also work other shifts as needed.

- Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Notifies Location Manager and/or Guest Service Supervisor of all guest complaints. Documents incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Register guests while receiving and posting proper payment and finalizing guest accounts at checkout.
- Assign guest rooms, issue keys ensuring guest security at all times and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Answer telephones in the specified time frames following proper procedures, and using correct greetings and telephone etiquette.
- Take, record, and relay messages in person or via phone accurately, completely, timely, thoroughly, and legibly.
- Educate guests on environmental policies and procedures as necessary.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct use of company equipment while keeping work space neat and organized.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all front desk policies, procedures, and standards.
- Accurately follow cash handling procedures and secure bank at all times.
- Accurately post charges to guest accounts for services and purchases.
- Verify accuracy of guest information and postings for work performed all day at the end of shift. (Bucket Check)
- Prepares folios for each guest account.
- Receives and coordinates wake-up calls.
- Handle lost and found items, tagging them with the date and place found, following proper established procedures
- Familiar with and follows emergency fire evacuation and safety procedures.
- Understands and follows all PCI Compliance guidelines.
- Keeps emergency reports up to date and accurate.
- Prepares housekeeping room status report for the following day.
- Wash, dry and fold laundry as assigned by Location Manager and/or Guest Services Supervisor
- Rolls the system date to the next business day for Cedar Creek Lodge and GNPL when requested. (Night Audit)
- Cleans lobby and front desk area as needed or requested.
- Work without direct supervision and handle situations as they occur at night. Contacting Location Manager and/or Guest Services Supervisor if needed.
- Adheres to all Xanterra – Cedar Creek Lodge policies and regulations.
- Assists in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary.
- Completes all other tasks as assigned by Location Manager and/or Guest Services Supervisor.
- Hospitality degree or equivalent experience in hospitality and customer service.
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Knowledge of the following PC software: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instruction accurately.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and move through them in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work quickly and thoroughly under pressure.
- Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
- Must be knowledgeable of common office machines, i.e., computer, copy, fax, calculator – standard and ten-key, cash register, etc.
- Must be able to handle guest concerns in a tactful and caring manner.
- Must be team-oriented.
- Must possess neat and pleasant grooming habits.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Able to lift and carry up to 315 pounds.
- Standing for up to eight hours per shift.
- Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift up to 8 hours.
- Working with required chemicals.
