- Performs all aspects of the accounting, forecasting, budgeting, consolidation and reporting for the Company and functions as a member of the accounting team responsible for planning and budgeting
- Assists with the production of monthly financial reporting packages, weekly operational dashboards, and in-depth financial analysis, and generally strengthens accounting and reporting systems to provide timely, accurate information to Executive Management
- Prepares monthly invoices in accordance with client contracts
- Administers new client onboarding, and responsible for ongoing maintenance of client records
- Monitors Budget vs. Actual billings and communicates variances with project managers
- Performs journal entries supporting the month-end close process, including a wide variety of A/P, A/R, and ERP administration tasks
- Assists with creation and maintenance of the department's policies and procedures documentation related to financial reporting and the external audit process
- Manages the organization and maintenance of important company documentation (e.g. contracts, corporate certifications, etc.)
- Assists with the cash management functions and policies of the Company
- Takes responsibility for the creation and implementation of financial and operational analysis and dashboarding important to the operating management of the business
- Analyzes business processes to identify areas of improvement and recommend automation (or other) solutions
- Works closely with business teams to understand their needs and create solutions that automate and streamline their processes
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or equivalent, with strong accounting background and technical understanding of GAAP
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with accounting, reporting, budgeting, contracting, billing, and cost control experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification strongly desired
- High level of accounting software skills; Deltek ERP experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards and percentage completion accounting
- Experience developing and managing short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, cash flow forecasts, and project (or product-line) profitability analysis
