
Microbiology Lab Technician

- Assist in production and preparation of lab media.
- Dispose of samples and manage lab glassware.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and manage stock levels.
- Assist in counting probiotics on petri dishes.
- Participate in different aspects of lab testing and assays.
- Perform routine analysis in the lab.
- Test for pathogens such as E.coli, Salmonella, and Listeria.
- Conduct plating for yeast, mold, and total plate count.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
- Experience with pipetting and using various pipettes, including multi-channel electronic pipettes.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Minimum of 6 months lab-related experience.
- Experience in food microbiology and manufacturing environments.
- High school diploma or Associate's degree in the sciences.
- At least 1 year of experience in a food service position.
- Strong multitasking skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and routine/repetitive environment.
- Familiarity with media preparation and plating.
