Shift start times are 8, 9 or 10am EDT. 8 hours with a 30 minute lunch.How You'll Help Us Build a More Confident Future:
  • Handles veterinary records and document retrieval through phone, fax and email
  • Review claims to ensure relevant and required documentation is received
  • Follows adjudication policies and procedures to allow quick processing for Claims Adjusters
  • Provides prompt customer service to members, providers and other internal company entities regarding claims
  • Documents phone calls in system and follows up on issues if needed
  • Handles all calls promptly and effectively per company standards while at the same time focusing on building rapport
  • Prepares reports as required by management
  • Additional activities as directed by management
  • Requests and communicates with veterinarian offices on clarification of diagnosis to ensure understanding of services rendered
  • Meets or exceeds goals and productivity levels set by management
  • Will perform all other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology
  • Ability to operate in a fast-pace, multi-tasking environment with deadlines
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and phone communication skills
  • Articulate, professional, and possesses a strong quality customer service mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong computer background using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet
  • Ability to learn quickly (to include our proprietary CRM system for managing customers and claims)
  • Excellent tracking, follow-up, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to identify problems and logically research with minimum assistance to locate answer through appropriate reference materials
  • Proven history of adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Proven Attendance Reliability

  • Vet Tech or Medical Vet Assistant
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Three years veterinary medical experience or equivalency preferred
