- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience as a Product Engineering/Management leader with a research background.
- Experience with AI, systems and infrastructure.
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering.
- 15 years of professional experience in product management.
- Experience leading both product and engineering or research/applied science.
- Ability to quickly ramp up new subject areas with short notice to guide mission-critical research.
- Deep technical expertise in systems and software with the leadership skills to influence technical leaders across the company.
- Drive the product roadmap for Cloud TPU, including new product introductions, developer experience, control plane functionality, and overall feature set.
- Determine pricing models, pricing points, consumption models, and investment decisions across engineering, capital expenditures, R&D investments, and more.
- Develop a strategic vision for the TPU products, with a strong focus on innovation and adoption.
- Conduct thorough and regular market assessments of new innovations in AI infra and tooling, stay on top of emerging technologies and workflows, and learn from best practices in the industry.
- Follow research trends in AI and Systems, and work with leads to determine the group’s research and innovation strategy. Develop effective partnerships across Google’s product areas (e.g., GDM, Core ML.) deeply understanding their strategic data priorities and infrastructure requirements.
