
Systems Engineer, Airborne Radar

- Support planning and execution of a multi-year Department of Defense advanced radar project
- Support test planning activities and provide on-site test support to support radar division projects
- Assist Government project lead with project management and technical work as needed
- Support development of radar hardware testbed through subcontract
- Support technical coordination and technical interchanges with internal and external organizations (e.g., US Navy, US Air Force) to address requirements definition, use case development, and subsystem integration
- Leverage in-house MATLAB M&S tools to evaluate radar system Concept of Operations
- BS (STEM) with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Experience with all aspects of systems engineering, including developing, designing, allocating, and managing user and system-level requirements; leading the development of the system architecture; evaluating design tradeoffs; balancing technical risk between systems; defining and assessing interfaces; and providing oversight of verification and validation activities
- Experience in test and evaluation planning
- Systems engineering experience with radar/RF software (primary) and hardware (secondary) subsystems
- Clearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized material in relevant terms for audiences at all levels
- This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Specific experience with airborne radar systems for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
- Five years or more of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
- Experience developing system architectures/frameworks
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic and proactive in all manners related to the job.
