To us, the most important measure of our success is yours.The Impact You Will HaveUnderwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Line of Business (LoB) targets regionally in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority.Some of your specific responsibilities could include:Underwrite new and renewal MLC - Private accounts to meet top and bottom line targetsNegotiate price and terms and conditions with producersUnderwrite in line with Financial Lines governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and PrinciplesConduct thorough underwriting analysis of private companies, including reviewing financial statements, risk exposures, and claims history.Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processesTraining, developing and coaching of less experienced staff (including Underwriters)Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and producer negotiations where necessary)Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholdersWhat You’ll Bring to the Role1-3 years experience in proven track record in Underwriting profitable business in Financial Lines1-3 years experience in demonstrating established relationships with brokers at peer group level and established within market1-3 years experience in understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape1-3 years experience in understanding of legal and regulatory frameworkCollege degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business AdministrationExperience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is preferredThe annualized base pay range for this role is $78,375 - $122,071. The annual base salary range represents nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.
