- Researches a variety of sources, analyzes, and initiates actions on tax issues obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required information for correction of accounts and records; verifies, analyzes and adjusts taxpayer accounts.
- Secures payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns. Determines financial, levy source, adjustment and uncollectible information; advises taxpayers of appeal procedures.
- May serve as a technical advisor, OJT coach, classroom instructor, or reviewer, and provide technical assistance on systemic problems and inconsistencies in IRMs.
This position is not telework eligible and will require you to work in office for the full work week. - The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the minimum locality pay up to maximum locality pay for all duty locations listed. The range will be adjusted for selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under
- Tour of Duty: Swing Shift Only, between 2:00 pm and 2:00 am
- Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.
- A recruitment incentive has been authorized for eligible, highly qualified applicants. The incentive will be $2,000 and will require a two-year service agreement. The service agreement details will be provided to new employees prior to entrance on duty. This monetary incentive will be disbursed as outlined in the service agreement.
- In the event that a building is closed due to rent management, new hires may be placed in a local commuting location.
- Season length is from 6-8 months. Employees who work a seasonal work schedule are placed in non-pay status or recalled to duty as workload or budget dictates and in accordance with their seasonal employment agreement.
