- Architect, Design and transform server hosting solutions to meet the business needs and future growth of Koch.
- Oversee the server lifecycle from deployment through decommissioning, focusing on automation to ensuring optimal performance and reliability while reducing support overhead. Develop self-healing capabilities leading to higher uptime.
- Develop and maintain virtualization strategies utilizing platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Platform 9, AWS, or similar technologies.
- Plan and implement storage solutions that ensure data availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to integrate server hosting solutions with other IT and business systems.
- Guide and align operational strategies to the broader server hosting vision driving modernization in operational processes.
- Evaluate, experiment and recommend new technologies and tools that enhance server hosting capabilities, applying a risk adjusted approach in line with business needs.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in server architecture, virtualization, backup/recovery, and storage solutions. Develop forward-looking POVs and actionable roadmaps to guide overall efforts.
- Recommend improvements to enhance our infrastructure capabilities and service delivery.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members across the various Infrastructure teams building a strong talent pipeline and expertise. Partner with Leaders to assess and hire right talent.
- Be an informal technical leader for the Hosting organization.
- Design and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Extensive experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Platform 9, AWS, or similar technologies.
- Extensive experience with designing and managing storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage.
- Experience with deploying and managing containerized applications infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of backup/recovery solutions like Commvault, AWS Cloud Protection Manager.
- Experience leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.) to enhance service delivery and operational support.
- Proven experience mentoring and developing engineers in the areas of compute, storage, and backup/recovery that lead to talent growth and better business outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, CompTIA A+, AWS certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS certified Solutions Architect, etc.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and positively influence culture and architecture mindset within a team.
- Ability to create a future state and a vision of transformational platform beyond what has been done in the past.
- Familiarity with Observability platforms and how they should be leveraged to ensure optimal performance and reliability of hosting solutions.
