This role focuses on architecting scalable, secure, and resilient Azure environments that align with Samaritan Health Services’ business and clinical objectives. The Azure Architect leads efforts in cloud migration, hybrid integration, and automation using Azure-native services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal governance. Collaborates across teams to define cloud strategy, develop infrastructure-as-code templates, and implement best practices for identity, security, networking, and cost management in Azure. Serves as a subject matter expert in Azure technologies and contributes to the enterprise technology roadmap while supporting incident, request, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL standards.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONInformation Services is committed to providing leadership, support, and coordination of technology at Samaritan Health Services. The IS Infrastructure department provides a robust, agile, and secure IT Infrastructure that supports SHS business objectives. The infrastructure includes, but is not limited to the following services: data network, voice, Windows and Linux server, data center, centralized endpoint management, enterprise operations and automation.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field) or equivalent experience required.Eight (8) years experience in systems administration or engineering (relevant to position) required.Industry recognized, current and relevant certification required within one (1) year of hire.Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, IPAM, DNS/WINS and related network services and protocols required.Experience in technical writing and the creation of associated architecture diagrams (artifacts) required.Technical project management experience preferred.Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESProblem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, involve key parties, gather pertinent data and consider various options in the decision making process.
