
Quality Technician III (Grade 8) B Shift (5:45 AM - 5:45 PM, every other weekend required)

- Proficient in Micro, Milk Receiving, and Product Quality side of Department
- Prepare in-process and finished product samples
- Ability to research historical data when required and report findings
- Partner with other functions to ensure that analytical procedures, sampling programs and control systems are being executed according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Attend pre-shift line meetings and use this as a forum to communicate the quality concerns
- Provide daily technical leadership for other departments and QA Technicians through strong floor and lab presence: provide SOI support, program and regulatory expertise, identification of out of specification product / regulatory non-compliance issues, root causes analysis and risk assessment
- Execute the hold and release program
- Monitor CCP and QCP paperwork during shift
- Conduct sanitation and housekeeping inspections
- Develop and provide food safety and quality training
- Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Serve as back-up for lead and techs, as necessary
- Become a certified trainer
- Preferred AA degree in Food Science related fields or a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience preferred or equivalent experience
- Food manufacturing experiences, preferably in the dairy industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with moderate computer skills
- Ability to work independently or in a group with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet physical demands of job related to working in a wet and cold environment
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, or other work schedules as determined by business need, including weekends or overtime as required
- Must be certified on the training plan for this position within six months of start date
