About the RoleA respected NYC immigration law firm is seeking a licensed and experienced Business Immigration Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a variety of immigration matters with a focus on employment-based immigration and removal defense, including representing clients in Immigration Court and USCIS interviews, and managing complex filings.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in Immigration Court and USCIS interviews, especially for removal defense and asylum cases.Prepare and file a wide range of immigration petitions including:Employment-based: H-1B, L-1, TN, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, O-1B, etc.Family-based: I-130, I-485, waivers, VAWAHumanitarian relief: Asylum, SIJ, TPS, U VisaDraft and respond to PERM audits, RFEs, motions, waivers, and appellate briefs.Conduct legal evaluations for eligibility of nonimmigrant and immigrant benefits for corporate clients.Represent clients before Immigration Court and USCIS, including in removal defense, asylum, and SIJ-based proceedings.Supervise and support a team of paralegals and case handlers.Communicate legal strategies effectively with clients.Manage high-volume caseloads while meeting strict deadlines.QualificationsMust be licensed and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionMinimum 3 years of experience in business immigration lawDeep knowledge of USCIS, DOL, and EOIR processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesLanguages are a plus (Italian, Albanian, Spanish, French, etc.
