Job Description:Position Title: Field Maintenance Coordinator – Peoria Sports ComplexTo view all salary ranges for the City of Peoria, please .Tell me more…..This position is located at the Peoria Sports Complex – home to the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners Major League baseball clubs. The purpose of this position is to oversee functions in sports turf management, project coordination, safety compliance, and administrative tasks, in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, while ensuring all fields are safe, well-maintained, and meet Major League Baseball (MLB) standards. Although field maintenance at the Sports Complex will be the focus, there will be team support opportunities at other locations within the department when needed.The person in this position will:
Execute budget priorities with emphasis on part-time scheduling, water management, tool and chemical supplies
Supervise maintenance/landscaping staff for the Sports Complex.
Perform technical maintenance work for MLB and MILB (e.g., ball field prep & renovations).
Coordinate agronomic and reconditioning maintenance calendar.
Perform laser leveling, overseeding, field re-conditioning and other seasonal turf care practices.
Oversee irrigation testing/maintenance.
Provide turf grass management guidance for fertilizer/pesticide applications and compliance.

Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of three years’ related experience.
Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
Physical Demands:
Exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs.
Licenses and Certifications:
Ornamental and Turf Pest Control License through the Office of Pest Management within 6 months of hire.
Playground Safety Certification through the National Playground and Safety Institute within 6 months of hire.
Backflow/Check Valve Certification within 6 months of hire.
Valid AZ Driver’s License upon hire. For Facilities (Aquatics) Maintenance.
