You will oversee the operations team and establish direct reports to improve efficiency and reduce costs as needed. Position Summary The Director of Operations will ensure efficient workflows to maximize the company’s productivity and performance by managing and leading the departments that follow: • Procurement • Warehouse and Materials Control • Production/Manufacturing • Planning • Quality Systems and Quality Control • Facilities and Maintenance • Other non-operations departmental interactions/dependencies Objectives of this role • Collaborate with executive management in the execution of performance goals and long-term operational plans. • Analyze processes, collaborate interdepartmentally, and set strategic goals for efficiency and productivity. • Work with department managers in the development of budgetary plans. • Evaluate current operational processes and performance and suggest solutions for improvement wherever deemed necessary. • Build strong professional bonds both internally and externally. Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, organize, and oversee the daily operations of our company • Monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives • Form relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make critical decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks • Implement approved process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs • Ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations • Collaborate with Human Assets to cultivate an environment of integrity, trust, inclusivity, and productivity • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee leadership • Ability to optimize structures and roles for faster adaptation to changing business demands Qualifications: • Ten or more years in a senior operations leadership role • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional achievements • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field • Experience in developing budgets and business plans • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes • Proficient in MS Office, data analysis, performance metrics, and using business management software such as ERP Siteline • In-depth understanding of various business functions and principles, including supply chain, finance, customer service, etc • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics • Thorough of industry regulations and legal guidelines About Company: Scott Manufacturing Solutions, a leader in designing and producing medium voltage pole- and pad-mounted equipment for the American utility and adjacent industries, provides customers with complete, fully customized power distribution solutions built to the highest quality standards.
