
Operations Manager - Night Shift

- Lead and manage nightshift warehouse operations, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations, including oversight of controlled substance handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Inventory, Facilities, and Safety, to meet service level agreements and operational KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain readiness for audits and inspections through regular self-audits and process reviews.
- Support business continuity planning and emergency response protocols.
- Supervise and develop frontline supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Manage staffing, performance, compliance, and employee engagement.
- Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (DEA, FDA, state pharmacy boards).
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (AS400), automation (WCS/KNAPP/SAP), and KPI tracking.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong operational knowledge
- Proficient in MS Suite (specifically Excel)
- Experience with WMS (warehouse management systems)
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in distribution or pharmaceutical operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
- Understanding of DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act)
- Schedule requires flexibility to provide coverage for supervisors or meet business needs.
- Sunday - Thursday (Friday coverage is occasionally needed)
- Weekend rotation with the Emergency phone.
- Starting time varies based on coverage and need (4 PM-9 PM).
- Shift end time also varies based on coverage and need (1 AM - 6 AM).
