The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Automotive Collision Shop Estimator located at Wayzata Collision Center, the Automotive Collision Shop Estimator Trainee is responsible for estimating and calculating the cost to repair a vehicle, to replace vehicle parts, or the entire vehicle.The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is affiliated with over 25 brands of new vehicles and 50+ dealerships throughout seven states. Job Responsibilities:
  • Write Estimates & Supplements: Review vehicle damage and write quality estimates using CCC One estimating system.
  • Upon teardown, work with triage team and senior technician to write a supplement based on discoveries.
  • Create a repair plan for the technician and pull any TIS/repair documents needed for repair. (Any weld on panels MUST have TIS documentation). All supplements are to be submitted within 24 hours.
  • Work with insurance companies to manage claim and negotiate pricing if needed.
  • Customer Service: Update all guests on a regular basis. All guests need to know of any changes with their repair throughout the process.
  • Parts Ordering: Work with Parts Manager to order/locate all parts needed for repair.
  • Quality Check: Review all finalized work to ensure all work performed meets or exceeds the standards of The Wayzata Auto Center Collision Repair.
  • File Reconciliation: Review your file to make sure all documents are up-to-date, all signatures are captured and proper documentation is in file.
  • Assist with completing documents associated with the needed repair and insurance details.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to accurately estimate vehicle damage- preferred
  • Ability to use our automated system to order parts- preferred
  • Properly follow insurance company Direct Repair guidelines- required
  • Experience with CCC and CDK estimating platforms- preferred
  • Experience in the estimating/body shop/automotive field- preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License- required
