OverviewSelect Physical Therapy is seeking an outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant in Storrs, CTNew grads are encouraged to apply!Great center for sports minded therapists!Our outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating and exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life and the things they love.This is a large clinic with 6 clinicians and an ATC at a local high school. We stand out as a Select Sports Center of Excellence! We are across from the UConn campus and see a large number of college athletes including club sports as well as next to EO Smith high school. We are also across from a large medical center with a busy ortho group. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new grad or a seeasoned therapist with an interest in sports related injury. We are highly involved in local community events and have the opportunity to work with graduates and undergrad students on the PT track!Schedule: Monday through FridayPRN and Part-Time are also availableCompensation: Hourly rates starting at $27/hr based on experience.Benefits and Incentives (for full-time at 32 hrs+):

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
