
Payroll Administrator

- Performs all activities necessary to process weekly payroll
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- Analyzes, prepares, troubleshoots timekeeping errors, and inputs payroll data to produce accurate and timely payroll
- Updates, imports, approves and maintains payroll information such as progression rates, deductions, title/department changes, etc.
- Works with People Support Services to enter new hires and process separations in a timely manner
- Generates post-Payroll weekly reports for Payroll & Accounts Payable Manager review/approval
- Imports and posts payroll entries to the General Ledger
- Maintains the GL balance of payroll accounts
- Handles stale Payroll checks and unclaimed wages
- Imports union-dues-deduction file, transmits payment files and sends status changes to union
- Processes 401(k) deduction changes, enrollments, withdrawals and hardships while managing the employee relationship during this process
- Provides employment wage verification for Market Support employees
- Records, maintains and updates payroll procedures
- Creates special reports for management as requested
- Processes employee expense reports
- Processes all garnishments, child support, and tax levies
- Assists the Payroll & Accounts Payable Manager as needed
- Maintains department in a neat, clean, and orderly manner

- Prefer 3-5 years of experience in payroll or accounting
- Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred
- Experience processing union contract provisions and step progression
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have intermediate or higher computer skills including MS Office; prefer knowledge of UKG WFM, ADP Lyric, and/or GP Dynamics
- Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality
- Must be a team player, a leader, and a positive role model
- Must be accurate and very detail-oriented with excellent math skills
- Highly organized, effective, and skilled at prioritizing daily/weekly responsibilities
