
Hardware Engineer

- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals associated with hardware requirements identification, component/subsystem/system design, progressive levels of test and evaluation, and engineering changes to fielded hardware.
- Ability to understand architectures and how to integrate software items, FPGA outputs, and other technical products into a hardware system configuration.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with multi-disciplinary technical teams who develop prototypes that demonstrate capability in response to customer technology objectives.
- Deep understanding of performance analysis; ability to develop or customize performance metrics to analyze system performance as it progresses through prototyping cycles.
- Skill in designing developmental and operational test events that support an integrated test plan. Evaluate measures of performance and measures of effectiveness that support overall prototype or system evaluation.
- Ability to analyze and implement Air Force and DoD open architecture standards including Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), Open Mission Systems (OMS), and related modernization initiatives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in researching and analyzing emerging Air Force and DoD emerging warfighting concepts, standards evolution, and modernization programs that inform hardware design.
- Excel at problem solving and critical thinking and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders so that expectations are aligned with project or program objectives.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline, with a minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience in related field
- Proficiencies in circuitry, CAD, and system engineering
- Ability to assimilate into important development efforts and effectively collaborate to meet design goals
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- Current Top Secret Clearance
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
