  • Our North America regional Peroxides business, composed of approximately 100 employees, is part of the global Peroxides Business Unit, which serves as the world's largest manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide. As the Deer Park Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process within one of two N. America manufacturing sites. You will ensure that production runs smoothly, meeting safety, quality and efficiency standards, while also managing personnel and resources effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. As the local Leader, you will serve as the interface for local customer interactions and community relations.
You will be accountable for:
  • Production Oversight
  • Supervise all manufacturing operations to ensure timely production of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources.
  • Monitor key production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Implement quality assurance programs and procedures to identify and resolve any production issues.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to address product quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Personnel Management
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and operators.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Resource Management
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, equipment, and supplies to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Budget Management
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and labor costs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on plant performance, budget variances, and operational metrics.
  • Dimensions of the site
  • Manage a workforce of 45 FTE's, and resident contractors of 18.
  • Plant assets: $170M
  • Annual spend $38M (VC+FC), typical CAPEX $2.6M.
About you
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university program, preferably Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten years management experience in hydrogen peroxide manufacturing or similar chemical manufacturing or petrochemical environment, preferably including an OSHA PSM facility.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
  • Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills, experience using Google Suite (word processing, spreadsheets, calendar, and email) and SAP experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar disciplines is a plus.
About the pay and benefits
  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is $150k to $185k, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
