- Oversee weekly integrated project controls processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and earned value metrics
- Develop and maintain budget, forecast and cost reports, earned value analyses, and resource planning and allocation
- Develop and publish monthly key performance indicators curves and graphs.
- Compile summary level project reports for management
- Analyze project controls data to assist project managers in directing project activities
- Assist in the tracking of project change orders and development of projections
- Understand technical aspects of standard reports and how to interpret and resolve issues
- Interact with project managers to provide reporting of project financial analysis
- Travel to jobsites to participate in project status updates
- Work with management team, including accounting, administrative and field staff to identify where project controls services are needed
- Assist controller with monthly financials as needed
- Assist project managers with subcontractor pay estimates and reporting, as dictated by project owner
- Other duties as required
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision
- Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion
- Proficient in accounting and other relevant software applications
- Understanding of forecasting project costs and understanding trends
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions
- Must maintain a high level of integrity and dependability to ensure financial information remains confidential
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management or Civil Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or closely related field
- 3-6 years’ experience in engineering or construction project
