
Outside Sales Account Manager - Industrial Automation Products and Solutions

- Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on new leads.
- Maintain detailed information on projects, quotes, samples and any other sales related information.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Customer at multiple levels, including engineering, purchasing, quality and senior management.
- Attends and conducts business at trade shows.
- Sustain long-term relationships with key individuals in key accounts.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Works with the Inside Sales Team Customer Service Representatives to facilitate customer requirements.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Associate degree OR two-year technical degree in engineering or related
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- 2+ years of industrial sales experience within industrial automation products and solutions, experience selling custom controls panels is also preferred.
- Experience selling Siemens and/or Eaton automation products is a plus
- Valid Driver's License in good standing is required
- Occasional out-of-town travel required
- Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills
- Proficiency in MS office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to multitask
