Candidates will be considered for providing instruction in lecture/lab and clinical settings.This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. An instructor is assigned to a clinical site for 2 days or evenings a week/term. The instructor will supervise between 4 to 6 students at one time. Primary communication will be with the director of the Nursing Assistant program.The Lecture/Lab Instructor scope of work:Instructs and evaluates nursing assistant students in the lab setting. Faculty serving as a primary instructor must:● Hold a current Oregon RN license● Have at least two years’ experience as an RN; and● Have evidence of completion of a course on teaching adults, or one year of experience teaching adults2) Clinical Instructors and Instructors for Lecture/Lab:Faculty serving as an approved clinical teaching associate and/or lecture/lab instructor must:● Hold a current Oregon RN or LPN license; and● Have the equivalent of at least one year of experience as a licensed nurseFor complete information regarding faculty qualifications, see the Oregon Board of Nursing Standards for Education Programs for Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides, Standards for Program Approval: Faculty Qualifications and Responsibilities.Clinical RequirementsUpon hire, faculty will be required to complete clinical requirements such as a drug screen, background check, vaccination verification, and online training modules.
