Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-level Oracle databases. This role requires deep technical expertise, independent judgment, and a high degree of creativity to support complex database environments, ensure high availability, and drive performance improvements.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and accomplish goals independently using experience and judgment.
  • Perform complex tasks involving database design, maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Design and manage logical and physical database models, data dictionaries, and storage parameters.
  • Implement and manage Oracle High Availability (HA) configurations and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions including Data Guard and GoldenGate.
  • Conduct RMAN backup and recovery operations.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using utility programs and third-party tools.
  • Manage Oracle Advanced Security configurations and multitenant database environments.
  • Perform data modeling, prototyping, and database search strategy development.
  • Maintain data integrity, control redundancy, and ensure uniformity of definitions via data dictionary standards.
  • Assist in database software installation, benchmarking, and threshold testing.
  • Support database recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordinate with application teams to ensure database consistency.
  • Evaluate user requests for new data elements and integrate them into shared environments.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to implement system changes and performance enhancements.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with:
  • Oracle Database Administration
  • Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate
  • Oracle Advanced Security
  • Multitenant Oracle databases
  • PL/SQL and Linux/UNIX environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Database structures, theories, and current technologies
  • RMAN backup and recovery
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Logical and physical data modeling
  • Database security and disaster recovery procedures
  • Experience in computer systems analysis or programming
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience with enterprise-level database environments
  • Familiarity with project control and cost estimating techniques
