Description :Job Summary
The Internship program consists of approximately 160 hours of work experience in the refinery. Interns shadow and support I&E professionals while effectively following all safety, environmental, health, maintenance, and refinery practices and procedures. An intern may be required to problem solve, overcome obstacles, and participate in the decision-making process.Essential Functions
  • Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
  • Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
  • Interns shadow and support I&E professionals while effectively following all safety, environmental, health, maintenance, and refinery practices and procedures.
  • An intern may be required to problem solve, overcome obstacles, and participate in the decision-making process.
Skills, Knowledge & Requirements
  • Be registered at Bellingham Technical College and enrolled in the Instrumentation program or have graduated with the same degree.
  • Have good class standing - NO academic probation accepted. Who will verify this?
  • Submit application along with personal resume.
  • Candidates possess a TWIC card by first day of internship are preferred.
  • Have successfully completed the following courses towards Instrumentation degree before the internship begins:
  • Safety, Health, and Environment
  • Instrumentation (Note: Instrumentation majors must have completed the first year of required courses
  • Willingness to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating, walk up and down stairs and work in confined spaces and outdoors with or without
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse, multi-skilled, achievement oriented, team based environment.
  • To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay.
