The Internship program consists of approximately 160 hours of work experience in the refinery. Interns shadow and support I&E professionals while effectively following all safety, environmental, health, maintenance, and refinery practices and procedures. An intern may be required to problem solve, overcome obstacles, and participate in the decision-making process.Essential Functions
- Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
- Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
- Interns shadow and support I&E professionals while effectively following all safety, environmental, health, maintenance, and refinery practices and procedures.
- An intern may be required to problem solve, overcome obstacles, and participate in the decision-making process.
- Be registered at Bellingham Technical College and enrolled in the Instrumentation program or have graduated with the same degree.
- Have good class standing - NO academic probation accepted. Who will verify this?
- Submit application along with personal resume.
- Candidates possess a TWIC card by first day of internship are preferred.
- Have successfully completed the following courses towards Instrumentation degree before the internship begins:
- Safety, Health, and Environment
- Instrumentation (Note: Instrumentation majors must have completed the first year of required courses
- Willingness to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating, walk up and down stairs and work in confined spaces and outdoors with or without
- Willingness to work in inclement weather.
- Willingness to work in a diverse, multi-skilled, achievement oriented, team based environment.
- To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.
