- Provide manufacturing engineering aid for assembly and integration of space hardware, with a focus on facility 5s and FOD practices in the Assembly area, tracking deliverable hardware for discrepancies and NCRS, and ultimately build and deliver hardware.
- The person will also be accountable for participating in process development to improve overall system quality control.
- Creation of work instructions and manufacturing orders for the production processes/assemblies within the scope of the role.
- Accountable for providing manufacturing engineering oversight and input during the fabrication and assembly process.
- Receive feedback and incorporate to design and manufacturing instructions.
- Communicate layout of the process in the facility, evaluating and planning workflow, space needs and equipment layout.
- Provide aid to root cause manufacturing issues in development and production.
- Engineering degree in manufacturing engineering, aerospace, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2+ years of work history in a manufacturing environment is needed.
- Work history with composite manufacturing and post layup processing of composite structures
- Familiar with AS9100 and Quality Assurance and Quality Control industry best practices
- Creative problem solver; able to work in multi-disciplinary teams Excellent social, coaching, and influence skills.
- Work history with Costpoint, Solumina, or SAP is desired.
