Now led by a fun-loving serial entrepreneur, Chapco continues to strengthen our core business by adding various product lines, including Denlar Hoods and Fastcorp VendingThe position of Sheet Metal Technician Level 1 supports production by bending, fastening, assembling and performing secondary operations on metal products. Equipment includes but is not limited to.☐Spot welders ☐Deburring ☐Press Brake ☐Break out of parts ☐Light Machining
Currently looking for technicians on 2nd shift. Hours are 3:30pm-2am Monday-Thursday.Key Responsibilities:Production
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators; willing to learn to optimize process parameters on the machine.
  • Learning to perform basic level set ups following department guidelines.
  • Learning to set up and program up any of the equipment in the area.
  • Prepare product for movement to next department.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Identify potential issues and take corrective action. Involve appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Work with team members and Lead to problem solve and to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using lift truck.
Department Flow
  • Able to communicate problems to lead person to continuously keep producing quality product.
  • Work autonomously or within the group.
  • Proficient with most equipment in the area and be able to perform basic machine repairs.
Quality & Training * Understand requirements of all jobs to assure quality, accurate quantity and on-time production.
  • Participate in quality initiatives when applicable.
Maintenance and Safety
  • Follow company policy pertaining to maintenance and safety requirements.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Maintain a clean environment and organized at all times.
  • Report any downed machines, safety violations or accidents through proper channels.
