We need your help.Our team is looking for a mid-range full stack software engineer with an enterprise software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations Directorate. You will work with software engineers and space analysts to develop capabilities in support of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies in support of Space Domain Awareness tools.This position is in Colorado Springs and requires working in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 5 years technical experience. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
  • Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise applications or platform infrastructure software
  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques
  • Experience with common CM tools and best practices
  • Java application development experience, specifically microservice architectures
  • Experience developing RESTful web services
  • Experience using Docker containers for development and deployment
  • Experience with Kubernetes runtime environments either on-prem or in AWS cloud environments
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English
  • Active TS security clearance, with SCI eligibility preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with any of the following technologies:
  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
  • SQL commands and queries Scripting languages (e.g. Groovy, Python, PowerShell, BASH)
  • Spring Boot
  • DevSecOps concepts and using CI/CD pipeline technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker
  • AWS/GovCloud technologies
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with common UI frameworks (Vue3, Angular, React)
  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using the Scrum methodology
  • Security+ Certification
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
