The Location:Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.The Position:We're looking for passionate Activities Assistant (CNA) to provide on-going meaningful activities based on resident's individual needs and interests. Leads group activities and visits residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director.
  • Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director for the purpose of providing one or more of the following: Friendly visits, Physical activity, Emotional support, Sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and Intellectual stimulation.
  • Participates in individual and group activities with residents and other care teams.
  • As CNA, the Activities Assistant provides activities of daily living (ADL) care and support to residents.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18.
  • Completion of state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii within four (4) months of hire.
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
