Position Summary:Responsible for providing managerial and administrative leadership for all aspects of the Master of Science in Anesthesiology program. Responsible for providing leadership, coordination and oversight for all student recruitment efforts and for administering the admissions process for the program.Position Key Accountabilities:1. Schedule class sequencing, collect and monitor course evaluations. Recommend changes in curriculum, policy, and program requirements to the Program Director and appropriate committee, as needed.2. Monitor, record, and report on the program budget.3. Ensure that the program is in compliance with all policies, procedures, and accreditation standards as set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs, the University of Texas, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and SACSCOC.4. Work within a team compromised of all Anesthesiologist Assistant Program professional staff.5. Analyze data and contribute to quarterly administrative reports.6. Maintain all accounts for the Master of Science in Anesthesia Program including analysis of monthly expense statements and work with Program Director to establish budget priorities.7. Assist in preparing for the Program's accreditation process by the Accreditation Review Committee for Anesthesiologist Assistant Programs.8. Perform all duties associated with the initiation and coordination of recruitment efforts and the admissions process for the program, and maintain University standards related to graduate studies.9. Maintain standards of clinical performance in accordance to institutional objectives, professional standards of practice, regulatory, and accreditation agency standards.10. Monitor the programs' marketing plan for recruiting new students. Evaluate applications for admission, manager personal interviews with applicants, and make recommendations to the Committee on Admissions.11. Other duties as assigned.Certification/Skills:
Certifications specific to the program required
Minimum Education:Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.Minimum Experience:Five (5) years of applicable experience.Physical Requirements:Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.Security Sensitive: This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position. Personnel in such positions, and similarly situated state contractors, will be routinely reviewed to determine whether things such as criminal history or continuous connections to the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the applicant, employee, or contractor from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
