- This test position involves direct participation as an integral team member who performs key roles with respect to test planning, test strategy and framework design, test execution, software engineering processes, and recommendations on product quality.
- This position also involves reviewing, editing, and generating plans, technical data, and various documents used for engineering and testing purposes per industry standards.
- This position is a test lead role and will involve both technical and leadership responsibilities as described in the Basic Qualifications below.
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Candidate should have 8-15 years of relevant technical experience.
- Have a proven track record of implementing automated software testing techniques.
- Candidate must demonstrate competency in software development in one or more of the following programming languages: C#/.NET, C++, JavaScript, Java, Python, Rust, or Ruby programming languages.
- Have practical experience devising test methods, writing unit and integration tests, and incorporating unit test frameworks.
- Possess an aptitude for the technical skills required for independent software test, configuration management, and software quality engineering concepts.
- Have experience developing test methods and procedures for software products using scripting, compiled languages, and/or commercial test automation tools.
- Have strong analytical and process improvement skills along with a personal drive for details and quality workmanship.
- Possess an aptitude for the technical skills required for software test and software quality engineering concepts.
- Experienced with good communication and teamwork skills with a proven ability and willingness to guide and mentor junior test engineers.
- Accept constructive feedback from peers and more senior software team members.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience writing tests with automated testing technologies or test coverage tools.
- Experience with applicable industry standards (IEEE 12207, CMMI, DO-178C and/or DO-278, RMF).
- Ability to work across multiple products under development by multiple small teams.
- Candidates who already possess a Secret level or higher security clearance.
