- Provide quality customer service promptly and courteously at all times.
- Determine customers' needs, offer solutions to meet those needs, and engage in ongoing problem-solving.
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding sensitive customer and proprietary information.
- Assist with customer service-related issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Primary on handling all morning duties, including phone calls to customers regarding ACH returns, non-post items, chargebacks, inactive/dormant accounts, red flags, VODs, and reviewing and scanning account documentation as needed.
- Serve as the primary representative for handling online banking resets with customers.
- Once the developmental training program is completed, the Universal Banking Specialist I will take primary responsibility for opening consumer accounts.
- Be proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues in person, over the phone, and via email in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.
- Primary on opening all “walk in” personal deposit accounts and assist customers with queries concerning bank services.
- Accurately and efficiently process all teller transactions.
- Adhere to established standards for cash handling and disbursement.
- Ensure precise balancing of the teller drawer in accordance with policy requirements.
- Identify and address customer needs by offering tailored solutions and resolving issues effectively.
- Provide assistance with inquiries related to bank services.
- Follow all audit, security, and compliance guidelines diligently.
- Investigate and resolve issues with fraudulent debit card transactions and manage travel exceptions.
- Process debit card limit changes, place holds, stop payments, and address related requests.
- Research and settle disputes involving fraudulent and unauthorized debit card transactions.
- Assist with domestic and international wire transfers, including handling inquiries and coordinating with the Wire Team as needed.
- Expected to regularly attend internal departmental trainings, including but not limited to New Accounts, Risk Management, Deposit Operations, Security, Customer Excellence, and other related sessions as assigned.
- Meet performance goals, referred to as "rocks," as assigned by the Assistant Retail Banking Manager.
- Duties may be expanded as experience is gained and professional goals are achieved.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Colorado Notary preferred.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with fundamental regulations such as BSA and basic bank policies and procedures.
- Ongoing Education: Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with essential job knowledge and skills.
- Banking Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking services and products, including customer account management and transaction processing.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
