Exceeds customers’ expectations through manufacturing eyewear in accordance with LensCrafters Quality Manufacturing Program. Ensures speed and reliability of service.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce quality eyewear by utilizing the Quality Manufacturing Program (QMP): selecting lenses, marking, taping, blocking, generating, fining & polishing, coating polycarbonate lenses, first (surface) inspecting, finish layout & blocking, edging, tinting, UV & anti-reflective coating, grooving, drop-ball testing, safety monogramming, mounting & final inspection
- Responsible for operation, cleaning & maintenance of laboratory tools & equipment
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously & accurately despite time pressures & customer volume
- Utilize product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for all orders to ensure the production of top quality eyewear in alignment with expected delivery time
- Attention to detail with measurements, calculations, equipment settings & defective product
- Take initiative to follow up on discrepancies, suggest improvements, recommend solutions & ensure customer satisfaction
- Review Accufit & diagnose vision care needs
- Show initiative in keeping the lab/stock room clean, organized & safe
- Comply with all safety/regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored & used per chemical safety program
- Demonstrate safe work practices including wearing personal protective equipment while in the lab
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills (internal and external)

- Knowledge of store merchandise
- Optical training
- Previous experience in optical
