SummarySeeking an ideal candidate that will be responsible for preparing for and responding to disasters by supporting mass care planning, providing training and mentorship, strengthening regional partnerships, and serving as a liaison between local and state agencies.
  • Support local departments of social services (LDSS) with mass care planning (sheltering, feeding, recovery).
  • Provide training, .mentorship, and real-time support during disasters and exercises.
  • Help communities identify gaps in resources, staffing, and planning—and connect them with solutions.
  • Strengthen regional partnerships with emergency managers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and the American Red Cross.
  • Serve as a liaison between local and state agencies to ensure local perspectives shape statewide planning.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of emergency management and mass care principles
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and build partnerships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned region
Schedule:
  • Full-time, Temporary
  • Length of Assignment: Oct 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
