With advanced fabrication, welding, and assembly capabilities, the company plays a key role in delivering high-quality steel solutions for bridges, industrial plants, and complex architectural structures.This role supports the Purchasing Manager in overseeing material procurement, cost estimation, and inventory management for a steel fabrication plant. It ensures material availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality and scheduling requirements. The Assistant Manager also steps in fully during the Manager’s absence.Key Responsibilities:Source raw materials and MRO supplies to meet job schedules and minimize costManage material inventory, including purchasing, receiving, scrap, and cycle countsApply ASTM A6 standards and Tekla EPM for accurate purchasing and inventoryLead purchasing team and maintain accurate pricing data and mill test recordsOversee freight logistics, material flow, and cutting bills for productionCoordinate with accounting for invoice approvals and paymentsEnsure system and physical alignment of inventoryRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in a materials management-related fieldMinimum 5 years of steel or related industry experienceAt least 5 years of purchasing experience and 1 year in a supervisory roleProficiency in ASTM A6 standards and Tekla EPMStrong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
