- Development and implementation of strategies to improve billing and collections procedures with a result of optimizing collections for our operational areas.
- Daily, weekly and monthly statistical monitoring of actual results compared to goals.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Will be responsible for hiring, disciplining and firing staff with the assistance of HR.
- Pre and month-end processes involving analysis to ensure needed adjustments are complete through expected dates.
- Analysis of audit reports; continuous quality review and improvement of procedures; general facility and office management.
- Manage actions related to delinquent accounts and ensure application of special adjustments, and/or write-offs are compliant with BE's Policies.
- Assures compliance with applicable industry and government rules and regulations.
- Maintains up to-date expertise and knowledge of healthcare billing laws, rules, regulations, and developments necessary for the organization to make informed business decisions.
- Develops and delivers organized, concise, yet thorough communications to executive leadership regarding proposed changes, developments, and opportunities affecting the organization and billing department.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including management ad hoc queries.
- Maintain a high profile as a knowledge mentor, motivator and lead by-example staff leader.
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service for patients and facilities in regard to troubleshooting complaints.
- Maintain HIPAA standards.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of KPI's/performance measures and the impact on the revenue cycle team.
- Excellent analytical skills and quality orientation-strives for continuous improvement in all activities to consistently achieve excellent results and meet or exceed department expectations.
- Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations.
- Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Excellent management, supervisory and overall leadership skills (minimum 5 years), including relationship building and fostering excellent achievement through teamwork.
- Must be self-starter with strong individual motivational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, from field teams to management, as well as external customers.
- Excellent ability to communicate and work cohesively across department lines.
- Highly dependable and able to meet internal deadlines consistently.

- Must always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare billing.
