- Revenue Accountability: Assigned annual quota aligned with national account portfolio
- Internal Interfaces: Sales Ops, Engineering, Production Scheduling, Finance
- Account Management & Growth
- Owns the customer relationship at a national level for assigned accounts
- Develops account strategies to expand market share and increase wallet share
- Leads pricing and proposal development for national contracts or bid opportunities
- Sales Execution
- Executes on revenue targets through direct selling and coordinated pursuit with field sales or dealer networks
- Facilitates the specification and ordering process in coordination with production planning
- Tracks quote-to-order cycle and proactively manages customer delivery expectations
- Strategic Planning
- Builds and maintains multi-year account plans with revenue forecasts, risk assessments, and opportunity mapping
- Collaborates with marketing and product teams to align solutions with customer needs and market trends
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serves as the primary internal advocate for national account needs
- Leads or participates in cross-functional teams to deliver on major contract obligations, pilot programs, and product customization efforts
- Reporting & CRM
- Maintains account records, sales pipeline, and forecasting in Salesforce
- Provides monthly updates on account status, wins/losses, and revenue pacing against goals
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Education: High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in national or strategic account sales
- Demonstrated success managing complex customer relationships and high-value accounts.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to drive growth while maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Travel: As needed.
- Performance Expectations:
- Meet or exceed annual sales target for assigned national accounts
- Maintain 90%+ accuracy in forecasting within CRM
- Develop and maintain annual account plans for top 10 customers
- Achieve high customer satisfaction scores on assigned accounts
- Identify and pursue at least 3 new growth opportunities per year within account base
