Job descriptionMaintenance Technician (Mechanic/Electronic) Responsible for the effective, efficient and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of company machinery and equipment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain machinery and equipment.1. Maintain compliance with AIB and BRC requirements and the Product Safety and Quality Management System (PSQMS). Adhere to GMP requirements and report any potential food safety hazards as per procedure. Attend annual PSQMS training.2. Evaluate equipment problems and repair.3. Build equipment, fixtures or electrical devices as directed.4. Be actively involved in other activities related to safety such as labeling equipment, inspections, lockout and emergency procedures.5. Repair electronic components at board level.6. Maintain electronic room equipment.7. Repair electrical and electronic systems of production machinery.8. Evaluate mechanical problems and repair them.9. Performs other related duties and assignments supporting the quality system as assigned.10. Understanding of limits and controls for “temporary repairs” (per procedure PSQM 4.6.2) and maintenance clearance (per BRC 4.7.4).QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:• High school graduate or equivalent. •Associates Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology preferred.• Technical training and experience in one or more of the following trade areas: electrical, mechanical hydraulic, HVAC, welding, carpentry. Associates may need to walk on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Associates must be able to lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs. Associate may need to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required. Proper lifting techniques will be required.• The noise level in identified work areas within the manufacturing area may require hearing protection. Will be working a 2-2-3 schedule from 7 PM – 7AM. Training will be conducted on day shift 7 AM – 7 PM. The pay will be based on their experience, and we conduct an assessment on one of our packaging lines. It is nothing too difficult but gives us an overview of their troubleshooting skills. We are looking for someone with electrical experience.Pay range starts at $24.50, and the top pay is currently $30.50. We also pay an additional $1.00/per hour for night shift premium, and we offer our benefits package after the 90-day probationary period. We pay quarterly KPI bonuses for eligible employees. Employees must have been employed the entire quarter, worked a minimum of 40 hours, and not have disciplinary action that excludes them from the bonus.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $24.50 - $30.50 per hourBenefits:
