Job Posting SummaryBaptist Medical Center is looking for an Equipment Materials Instrument Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This position is a Full-time Days opportunity. This position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.As a Equipment Materials Instrument Tech, your responsibilities include:Coordinate activities of the sterile processing department, demonstrating thorough knowledge of sterilization processes — from cleaning and decontamination to packaging, sterilization, and distributionEnsure quality and contents of instrument trays meet surgical needsSupervise case cart, SPD, and Core operations; develop and configure instrument trays for surgical proceduresHandle daily processing of case cart supplies and instrumentsCoordinate with vendors to ensure trays are complete and sterilizedCollaborate with OR staff regarding instruments and suppliesParticipate in departmental planning and committee and engage in ongoing education and professional organizationsMaintain compliance with safety standards and hospital policiesManage vendor adherence to established practices, including regularly scheduled inventory reviews, payment practices, and contract adherenceThis Equipment Materials Instrument Technician position will be located at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
