The OpportunityA global professional association is seeking a Temporary Corporate Compliance Analyst to support its legal and compliance operations. This role based in New York City, offering $35–$40 per hour. While initially temporary, there is potential for the position to become permanent based on performance and headcount availability.Primary DutiesThe Temporary Corporate Compliance Analyst will report to the Deputy General Counsel for Compliance and support the development and enforcement of global compliance programs and policies. The role requires collaboration across internal teams, volunteers, and external partners. Additional duties include the following:
Support the sanctions compliance program by developing and maintaining related policies, procedures, and training.
Improve and manage third-party sanctions screening tools, ensuring appropriate risk thresholds are in place.
Conduct internal and external due diligence for compliance with global sanctions and regulatory frameworks.
Partner with legal teams to address trade and export control compliance matters.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the compliance program across organizational units.
Manage and respond to compliance inquiries and requests through the matter management system.
Participate in various legal and compliance projects and perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
0–3 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, ethics, or internal audit within an international company, law firm, nonprofit, or government agency.
Preferred certifications: JD, CCEP, CRCM, LPEC (completed or in progress).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-starter with effective time management and ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
