This position is designed for someone with a growth mindset and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. You will receive specialized training in Large Power Transformer Manufacturing as well as cross-train in new processes as you progress in your job role. You will gain unique and valuable skills that will set you apart in the world of Large Power Transformers.This position is based at our upcoming Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The facility is scheduled to be operational in 2026. Initially, your journey will involve supporting the factory's construction, helping implement new processes, building a high-performance team, and coordinating all aspects of the setup to ensure a smooth transition into full-scale production.How You'll Make an Impact
  • Performing the stacking and assembly of silicon steel sheets for large power transformer cores including placement of oil channels and insulations
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical technical drawings and work plans
  • Operating overhead cranes, forklifts for transport of materials and assembled core
  • Performing measurements and quality inspections including reviewing the tolerances in accordance with technical requirements
  • Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
  • Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].
What You Bring
  • An associate degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered
  • Experience in silicon steel sheet assembly for transformer cores preferred.
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
  • Applicant will need to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges
  • Applicant will need to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fast-paced environment.
Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests, read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training.
