- Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers with prospecting calls and in-person meetings within assigned territory, email campaigns, and other proactive sales activities.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers via phone, video conference, email, and in-person.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system (Hubspot).
- Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns and partner with the customer service team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new business opportunities. Gather new prospect lists and perform lead generation duties.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market feedback for the sales manager and senior leadership.
- 1-3 years of inside B2B sales experience required; previous logistics, freight, or corrugated material sales experience extremely beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred (The Citadel Grads are encouraged to apply!)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to handle rejection and persevere.
- Proficient in CRM software (Hubspot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.

- Ability to travel to clients and prospects within assigned territory (Charleston, SC to Savannah, GA; Southeastern SC).
- Comfortable cold calling and visiting prospects IN PERSON.
